Federal Judge Dismisses Credit Transaction Suit Against Restaurant

HOUSTON - A federal judge in Texas on Feb. 12 granted summary judgment to a restaurant alleged to have violated the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (FACTA) by printing a consumer's expiration date on a credit card receipt, finding that the consumer has not shown that any violation of the statute was willful (Casey Huff v.
