CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Finding terms such as "tour" and "queen city" to be generic, a North Carolina federal judge on Feb. 13 held that a Charlotte-based tour firm failed to establish a prima facie case of trademark infringement against a rival tour firm that was using such terms as keywords on Google's search engine (Juan Whipple v. Gary W. Brigman, No. 3:12-cv-258, W.D. N.C.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 19414). Full story on lexis.com
