2 Plaintiffs Dismissed From Contraception Mandate Suit; Other Claims Remain

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - In ruling on the federal government's motion to dismiss a challenge to a provision in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) mandating that all health plans provide preventive services for free, including those for birth control, a New York federal judge on Dec. 4 dismissed two plaintiffs for lack of standing, but otherwise denied the motion (The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, et al. v.
