7th Circuit Grants Injunction Pending Appeal In Case Over Birth Control Mandate

CHICAGO - In a split opinion, a panel of the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Dec. 28 granted an injunction pending appeal of the denial of a motion for preliminary injunction brought by a construction company and its owners challenging the "birth control" mandate contained in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) (Cyril B.
