Eugene Peckham is the Surrogate of Broome County, New York and an Acting Supreme Court Judge. He is the Treasurer and former Vice President of the Joint Legislative Advisory Committee on Estates, Powers & Trusts Law and Surrogate's Court Procedure Act, which recommends statutory changes affecting estates law to the New York State Legislature. He is a member of the Board of Editors of Warren's Heaton on Surrogate's Court Practice. Judge Peckham has written for the Warren's Heaton Legislative and Case Digest, as well as for several New York State Bar Association publications.
Judge Peckham received a B.A. with Honors and Distinction in History from Wesleyan University in 1962 and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard University School of Law in 1965.
