Filing with the Court
All firms must still submit filings in paper to the court. File & Serve will be used for e-service only. E-filing is not permitted in this litigation.
Adding your "Newly-Filed" cases
Per the Order (Court Order), newly-filed cases should be filed and served via traditional methods. After you have received a case number, please use our Add A Case Request Form (Form) to send us the information about the case so that we can activate it on File & Serve. You should not wait for defendants to make their First Appearances before sending us the case information. Defendants will use File & Serve for their First Appearances papers. Please review the Form and let us know if you have any questions.
Making Changes to Service Lists - specifically Dismissed Parties
Per the Order, Parties wishing to be removed from a case service list will serve a "Request to be Removed from a Service List" in each case. If unopposed, then it is the Plaintiff firm's responsibility to remove that party from the case(s). You should use the Case/Party management features in File & Serve to make those changes. Attached is a How To guide on using those features (Case & Party Management Guide).
There are several ways to monitor for the "Requests to be Removed from a Service List":
1. View your incoming service notifications in your Online Inbox (no fee)
2. Review the online Case History for each case (no fee)
3. Access information using "Advanced Search" for that type of Document (no fee)
OR
4. Setup an "Alert" for those types of documents to be notified when they are uploaded to File & Serve (Alerts are an additional fee) (Alerts Quick Guide)
