The following notice is being sent to all Organization Administrators for LexisNexis® File & Serve in advance of our next product release:

You are receiving this notice because you are listed as your firm’s Organization Administrator for LexisNexis® File & Serve, as a resource for you to share with your File & Serve users.
On Monday, October 31, 2011, users who have set their web browser to “remember” both their File & Serve user name and password when they log in to File & Serve may have to re-enter their ID/Password on a “new” login page (to which they will automatically be re-directed). This is because we are separating the LexisNexis® File & Serve login site from the LexisNexis Total Litigator® login site. This will also result in the removal of the “Total Litigator” banner which currently appears at the top of each File & Serve screen.
Of course, we understand that some users may not remember their ID and/or Password, so we wanted to let you know how they can retrieve/reset these items.
- If a user remembers their ID but cannot remember their password, they can reset a password by clicking the “Forgot Password” link on the “new” login page. Click here for more detailed instructions on how users can reset passwords.
- If a user cannot remember their ID or their password, they should contact you, as their internal Organization Administrator for File & Serve, because you have the right to reset passwords and, when you do so, the user will receive an email that contains BOTH their ID and a new (temporary) password. The user can then log in with that information and will be prompted to create a new password. Click here for more detailed instructions on how you can reset passwords.
