ICE I-9 Audits in Georgia Net Almost $900K in Fines

"Federal immigration authorities based in Atlanta audited 105 businesses for illegal hiring practices during the last fiscal year, arrested scores of workers and slapped employers with nearly $900,000 in fines, the third-highest total in the nation, an Atlanta Journal-Constitution analysis of public records shows.  There are dozens more such audits under way in Georgia, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed this month." - Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jan. 30, 2013.
