Panel: No Coverage For Jewelry Theft Loss During Airline's Custody Of Bag

ATLANTA - The 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on May 11 affirmed a lower court's ruling that any loss resulting from a jewelry theft during an airline's custody of an insured's carry-on bag was not a covered loss, rejecting the insured's contention that the "temporary safekeeping during travel" exception to a policy exclusion applies (Aydin and Company v. Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, No. 10-11892 Non-Argument Calendar, 11th Cir., 2011 U.S. App. LEXIS 9736).
