5th Circuit Affirms Dismissal Of Petition To Confirm $26 Million Award

NEW ORLEANS - After finding that a Louisiana federal court lacked jurisdiction over two Chinese companies and the People's Republic of China (PRC), the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Dec. 21 affirmed a decision denying confirmation of a corporation's petition to confirm a $26 million arbitration award issued in its favor (First Investment Corporation of the Marshall Islands v.
