ICSID Rejects Argentina's Objections, Allows Treaty Claims To Proceed

WASHINGTON, D.C. - A tribunal for the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) on Dec. 21 released a decision that rejected various objections asserted by the Argentine Republic, finding that it has jurisdiction to hear claims asserted by three Spanish companies in relation to their investment in two airlines (Teinver S.A., Transportes de Cercanis S.A. and Autobuses Urbanos del Sur S.A. v. the Argentine Republic, No. ARB/09/1, ICSID).
