International University Audentes
Tanel Kerikmäe, LL.M, LL.Lic, Ph.D is Vice-Rector of International Affairs and Dean of the Law School at International University Audentes (IUA). He is a recognised expert of European Union Law and has been involved in the legal practice for many years. Dr. Kerikmäe is a partner at the Law Office Kerikmäe Junolainen (www.kjlaw.ee), which is a member of Nordic Law EEIG. He is also an academic supervisor of European Documentation Centre at IUA, President of the Estonian European Community Studies Association (EECSA), member of the Board of Baltic Yearbook of International Law (Lund), founding member of Estonian Branch of International Law Association (ILA), member of the Board of the European Institute at IUA, Founder and Member of Board at SupraLaw - Centre for Supranational Law. Since 2003, Dr. Kerikmäe serves as Jean Monnet Professeur of European Law and acts as a leading expert of the Human Rights Centre at IUA. He has been teaching in various universities in the region and visiting as an exchange professor Toulon University (France) and Essex and Nottingham Trent Universities (United Kingdom). Dr. Kerikmäe is the author of more than 50 articles and publications on different legal issues.
Kari Käsper, M.A. eq is a lecturer of European Law at International University Audentes (IUA). He also serves as Dean’s Assistant on Development at the Law School of IUA and Development Coordinator of the Human Rights Centre of IUA and previously the legal advisor to the Rector of IUA. He currently works as the office manager and lawyer at Law Office Kerikmäe Junolainen (www.kjlaw.ee). He has also been in-housel counsel and advising several large companies on European Competition Law and State Aid Law, as well as being an expert for the British Institute of International and Comparative Law for the European Commission on Consumer Law and Cross-Border Legalisation of Documents. Mr. Käsper contributed to the Baltic Yearbook of International Law and other academic journals. He belongs to the Estonian European Community Studies Association (EECSA) and the European Youth Parliament. He is a member of board at youth organization Tegusad Eesti Noored and SupraLaw - Centre for Supranational Law.
Dr. Kerikmäe and Mr. Käsper are contributors to Smit & Herzog on the Law of the European Union, a LexisNexis publication organized under the auspices of the Center for International Legal Studies (www.cils.org), an Austrian registered (ZVR No. 208672816) non-profit legal research and education organization.
