Andrew M. Schpak, Esq. served as a panelist on a
CLE regarding the Legal and Practical Implications of Disability Law at the ABA
YLD/GP/Solo Joint 2010 Spring Meeting in Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands. Here he
summarizes his presentation.

Andrew Schpak,
Associate at Barran Liebman LLP, represents
management in employment litigation and provides advice in
employment matters.
He has worked with government entities, businesses of all sizes, and non-profit
organizations. Andrew drafts and updates workplace policies and employee
handbooks, provides workplace training, and advises clients on employment
issues when they arise. He also represents clients before state and federal
administrative agencies and in state and federal court proceedings. He is
Co-Chair of the American Bar Association YLD Labor and Employment Law
Committee, District Representative for Oregon and Washington to the YLD Council
and Assembly, and Immediate Past President of the Multnomah Bar Association
Young Lawyers Section. Andrew also serves as President of the Board of Directors
of Film Action Oregon, Treasurer of the Board of NWEEO/Affirmative Action
Association, and Co-Chair of the Campaign for Equal Justice's Associates
Committee. He graduated from Reed College and received his J.D. from Cornell
Law School. He is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington.
