Lawyer Improperly Contacted Flight 3407 Families
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Federal officials in Buffalo say a Detroit lawyer has paid $5,000 for being too quick to contact families of passengers killed in last February's crash of Flight 3407 near Buffalo.
The U.S. Attorney's office Carl Collins III's payment settles a civil action brought after he sent letters out 12 days after the crash.
