You may have heard about the law school graduate and blogger who wrote under the name, "Law is 4 Losers."  He created  a stir by accusing law school administrators of being greedy charlatans and  blasting the schools for tricking students into six figure debt in order to attempt to join the legal profession, which he called "America's most overrated...and saturated industry."

The writer's blog was reportedly attracting as many as five-thousand readers a day.  According to the New Jersey Star-Ledger,  the blogger has revealed himself as Scott Bullock, a 2005 graduate of Seton Hall Law School. Bullock, of Bridgewater, NJ, referred to law school as "a big ponzi scheme," adding that the schools are "just cranking kids out for $45,000 a year....with meager job prospects.

Citing ABA figures, the Ledger goes on to report that law school tuition has risen twice as fast as inflation during the past 20 years,  noting tuition at private law schools averaged just under $10,000 in 1998 but had ballooned to $35,740 in 2008.

Bullock and other recent grads are calling for more accurate representations of the true employment outlook as opposed to recruitment brochures that he says painted a picture of six-figure salaries and employment rates higher than 90 percent.

The Ledger goes on to quote Washington University Law School Professor Brian Tamanaha as saying, "there are certain ways to paint statistics, and schools paint it in a way that's most favorable to them."

The ABA appointed a committee that will study ways law schools can more accurately report job placement statistics, the paper reports.  The ABA is currently involved in a lengthy review of the law school accreditation process.
