German Film Company's 3rd Discovery Motion In File-Sharing Case Denied

SAN FRANCISCO - The copyright holder of a German adult movie saw its third discovery motion in an Internet file-sharing lawsuit denied Jan. 24 by a California federal judge who held that the plaintiff had not identified the Doe defendants "with sufficient specificity" to properly obtain the sought-after identifying information from the defendants' Internet service providers (ISPs) (Berlin Media Art e.k. v. Does 1-44, No. 3:11-cv-03770, N.D. Calif.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 7888).
