Judge Denies Contractor's Request To Dismiss Claims For Lack Of Jurisdiction

NEW ORLEANS - A Louisiana federal judge on Jan. 25 found that the court had jurisdiction over claims asserted by the owner of several rental properties against a contractor for allegedly completing faulty hurricane remediation and repairs, finding that it was not possible to determine with legal certainty the amount in controversy (Beverly Bouligny Powell v.
