3rd Circuit Affirms Dismissal Of Ambulance Provider's Reimbursement Suit

PHILADELPHIA - A Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel in a Jan. 25 unpublished opinion affirmed the dismissal of a reimbursement suit brought by ambulance providers against insurance companies, agreeing that the providers are not part of the class of health care providers covered by a Pennsylvania state statute governing the right of providers to receive direct or timely payment for emergency or other medical services (Ambulance Association of Pennsylvania, et al. v. Highmark Inc., et al., No. 11-2763, 3rd. Cir.; 2012 U.S. App. LEXIS 1648). Full story on lexis.com
