6th Circuit: Denial Of Retirement Benefit Following Merger Is Not Interference

CINCINNATI - An employer did not interfere with a former employee's attainment of early retirement benefits in violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act because the former employee did not qualify for the benefits, the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals affirmed Jan. 25 in an unpublished opinion (Barbara Gambill, et al. v.
