Shoulder Pain Pump Plaintiffs, Stryker Settle Case 18 Days Before Utah Trial

SALT LAKE CITY - Six plaintiffs who claimed that their shoulders were permanently damaged when Stryker Corp. negligently marketed its drug pumps for continuous post-operative pain relief on Jan. 17 said they agreed in principle to settle their claims; the settlement comes 18 days before trial and 22 days after a Utah federal judge denied the defendant's motion for summary judgment (Erika Creech, et al. v. Stryker Corporation, et al., No. 2:07-22, D. Utah, Central Div.).
