Service Member Files Class Action Suit Against Countrywide Over Foreclosures

COLUBMIA, S.C. - A U.S. Army specialist on Jan. 27 filed a class action suit against Countrywide Home Loans Inc. in South Carolina federal court, claiming that the lender violated the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) when foreclosing on their homes (Young G. Lee, et al. v. Countrywide Home Loans Inc., No. 12-cv-0274, D. S.C.).
