Judge: Arbitrators' Silence Regarding Other Arbitration Does Not Prove Bias

NEW YORK - A party to a reinsurance arbitration did not prove that a pair of arbitrators' failure to disclose their participation in a seemingly related arbitration amounted to evident partiality, a Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel held Feb. 3, reversing a lower court decision (Scandinavian Reinsurance Company Limited v. St. Paul Fire & Marine Insurance Company, et al., No. 10-0910, 2nd Cir.).
