Panel Affirms General Damages Award, Reduces Special Damages In Insurance Dispute

NEW ORLEANS - Rejecting an insurance agency's appeal that it used "reasonable diligence" in obtaining insurance coverage increases requested by an insured, a Louisiana appeals panel on Feb. 1 affirmed a lower court's $ 75,000 general damages award against the insurer but reduced the special damages award from $ 137,386 to $ 100,180 (Kirk E.
