Although Anne Gilson
LaLonde now finds herself holed up in the snows of Vermont, she's managing to keep the family
business moving ahead just fine. Anne is the author of Gilson on Trademarks, a publication started by her father,
Jerome Gilson, more than 35 years ago. This definitive work offers a
comprehensive and current view of trademark law in the United States
with detailed analysis and extensive case citation. The ten-volume work also
features more than 450 trademark practice forms with checklists and drafting
guides.
Anne has been working on
the treatise since 1999 and became its sole author in 2006. She and her family
moved to Vermont less than two years ago after
more than 15 years in Washington
D.C. Before working on the
treatise, Anne practiced in the Litigation Practice Group of Sidley &
Austin and had a two-year clerkship in the United States District Court for the
District of Columbia.
"We were looking for that ideal place to work and live - and we found
it," says Anne. You can read her latest updates right now.
