Arina
Shulga has experience representing domestic and foreign
companies in all aspects of corporate and securities law, including public and
private debt and equity offerings, securities law compliance and corporate
governance. Previously, Arina worked in the New York office of Cleary Gottlieb
Steen & Hamilton LLP, where she represented both private and public
companies from various industries on a wide range of transactions, such as
leveraged buy-out transactions, IPOs, high yield debt offerings, debt and
equity issuances, tender offers and consent solicitations, stockholder
agreements, joint ventures, incorporation, corporate governance and review of
periodic filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition,
throughout her legal career, she participated in advising clients on formation
and operation of non-profit organizations. Ms. Shulga's passion for
entrepreneurship, which started with enrollment in the Small Business Clinic at
Penn Law, coupled with the current demand for a small firm with focus on legal
needs of small and medium businesses, ultimately led her to start her own
practice in January 2010 and partner with the Fridman Law Group PLLC.
Arina received her J.D.
summa *** laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she
served as a senior editor of the Journal of International Economic Law. She
also holds a Certificate of Study in Business Policy and Management from the
Wharton School of Business. Arina holds a B.A. magna *** laude from Mount
Holyoke College and the International Baccalaureate Diploma from Pearson United
World College of the Pacific, Victoria, Canada. Arina is admitted to practice
in the State of New York. She is a member of the Small Business Committee at
the New York City Bar Association, Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, and the
Russian Speaking Business Attorneys Network (RUSBAN). She is a native Russian
speaker, is fluent in French, and speaks intermediate Spanish. Her blog
