Practice Experience
Ms. Gratton is an associate in the firm's
Intellectual Property practice group, concentrating in litigation and
transactional matters that involve trademark, patent and copyright
issues.
Ms. Gratton, who is a registered patent attorney, represents clients in:
- Trademark and copyright litigation, including claims of
infringement, false advertising, trade secret misappropriation, unfair
competition and breaches of license agreements;
- Licensing, both in the traditional sense and in connection with
complex international joint ventures and corporate transactions;
- Patent infringement litigation (including Hatch-Waxman);
- Patent counseling with regard to licensing, the procurement of rights and product clearance issues;
- Initial public offerings, counseling both issuers and underwriters, involving technology companies;
- Counseling lenders and acquirers in private equity transactions involving technology companies; and
- Technology licensing of software, hardware, data and other content.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Gratton served as a software
expert with Stellate Systems (now a part of Alpine Biomed Corp.), a
software company focused on spectral analysis and brain mapping.
