SAN JOSE, Calif. — Hoge Fenton Jones & Appel, a Northern California law
firm, has announced that Alison P. Buchanan was elevated to shareholder,
effective Jan. 1.
Buchanan focuses on all aspects of civil litigation, with particular
expertise in business litigation, professional liability and professional
malpractice, and legal ethics. She is an active member of the Santa Clara County
Bar Association, serving on its Civil Practice and Finance Committees. She also
is a past co-chair of the Amicus Committee for the Silicon Valley Campaign for
Legal Services, and teaches professional responsibility and legal malpractice
courses at Lincoln Law School in San Jose. Buchanan is a regular speaker on
legal ethics-related issues. Buchanan received her J.D., with honors, from
Chicago-Kent College of Law (Illinois Institute of Technology) and her B.A. in
Criminology, Law and Society from U.C. Irvine.
