Judge Finds Arbitration Agreement Binding, Bars Competition Law Claims

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - An arbitration agreement provided to a woman after she signed a rental agreement binds the parties and bars her California unfair competition law (UCL) class action, a federal judge held Dec. 19 (Mary Botorff v. Amerco, et al., No. 12-1286, E.D. Calif.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 179865).
