Help on changing hourly rate for new clients

I am changing my hourly rate and want this to apply to new clients only.  I use a billing preference template that is set to rate table 1.  I believe I originally set this to the hourly rate at that time.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

The easiest way is to add a new rate to the rate table. If each person in the firm has a separate rate table then you would add a new rate level to each rate table. Be consistent and use the same level for all. Then change the billing preferences template(s) you use to use a default of the new rate level (ie, 2). All new clients will have their rate level picked up from the billing preferences template and the existing clients will be unaffected.
