Folks:
We have set a high priority quality of service in our switch for our VOIP telephone extensions to ensure good sound quality. But I believe that it is interfering with Time Matters, because our users are getting some sort of file unavailable error messages. I would like to give TM a high priority, but I don't know how to do that, since it is not simply all traffic on a particular port. Does TM run with some protocal that I can give high priority to? Anyone know?
Thanks!
-Micah
Micah, the SQL Server is usually running on port 1433. You can verify this by using the Server Configuration Manager.

Great. Thanks. I checked that and you are right.
For quality of service, I set my switch to give high priority to traffic FROM any port with destination 1433 TCP. Is that right, or do I have it backwards?
