Subject says it all.
I would like to increase the memo field of the primary tab within the case form. The email memo field seems to be unlimited and so does the note memo field.
Please help!
Thank You

The number of characters in the memo field can not be changed.
What information are you trying to record that will not fit? Could you use a note record instead?

We use memo field for INTAKE notes for the initial consultation of a case. We also have the memo field auto populate: Case Strategy, TODO, Quote in which then the attorney fills the information in.
I wonder why the memo field has a limit to number or characters yet a NOTES memo field does not.
The memo field character limits are:
Matter: 5200
Email, Notes, and other supporting records: About 32,000
The limits cannot be changed.
If you are exceeding these limits, you are not using Time Matters "correctly." The data should be stored in a more granular fashion to make it easier to find. How are you going to find any information in the middle of a memo field that would fill up 50 pages in a word processor? Many attorneys who used to log all case transactions in a word processor before getting Time Matters do this by default since it's what they've always done. They need to use the better tools that are now available. Use the different record types for notes, phone calls, events, todo's, etc. Use the Timeline to see all record types chronologically. All matter sublists are Search functionality. Etc.

I would echo Bob, and add that the notes displayed in the Notes Powerview from the Matter list are particularly easy to read, search and print. Just take one matter and copy each section of the memo field into a distinct note with the appropriate date and code and then look for yourself how this would be displayed in the notes Powerview.
