Cannot save email attachments that are attached to an email in Outlook?

Greetings, We are using Outlook 2003 and we get some emails that have email messages as attachments. We open up these email attachments and try to use the TMConnect Email but get a prompt - This message must be saved before it can be connected to TimeMatters. We have tried saving the parent message to TimeMatters but still we cannot save the attached email messages to any matters in TimeMatters. Any help is appreciated. Right now, we just print the attachments to PDF and then save them as document records.
