Messenger Questions

Our firm just upgraded to 11.1 and I have a couple of messenger questions/issues:

1. Have the options to set the messenger preview/pop-up notification opaqueness been removed from the program?

2. On 1 computer (XP Pro - fully patched), the pop-up notifcation flashes but contains no text, while the actual messenger message does have a message. This is an intermittant issue. The virus scanner has been excluded as a cause. I'm wondering if it might be an NVIDIA driver conflict. Anyone seen this issue before?
