TIP: Sending PCLaw Reports to MS Excel

SEND PCLaw/PCLaw Pro Reports to Excel

Most PCLaw Reports can now be sent to Microsoft Excel.  When you are ready to run a PCLaw report, you have the option now of sending the output to Excel where further calculations, manipulation and/or the spreadsheet data can be used in more expansive reports (such as Access).  PCLaw added this new flexibility with version 7.5x and higher.

On the COMMON screen of most reports (some reports do not export to Excel), you should direct your report Output to the EDITOR.  When you click [OK] to run the report, PCLaw will compile the report and then ask you to where you wish to save it.  At the Save As window, select EXCEL as the Save As FORMAT.  Save the report in EXCEL format anywhere you wish (such as your DESKTOP) and then double click on the ICON.  Your report will be beautifully columnar in MS Excel.
