I have two issues related to calendar options in TM 7.0:

  1. One of the options for the calendar view is to have a reference calendar - this handy little feature includes a "Today" button at the top - but is there a way to re-locate this 'Today' button to the calendar toolbar such that a user can click on it there without having to have the reference calendar open?
  2. Is there a way to change which view the calendar opens up in?  By this I mean can you default the calendar to open in a 7 day view or a 5 day view?

  Thanks in advance.

Actually, the Today button is a part of the Reference Calendar and cannot be "detached" as you ask.  You can however, change your User Level Setup to automatically load a Weekly Calendar instead of a Daily Calendar when you login.

Goto File>Setup>General>User Level and change your Main Opening Screen to Calendar-Weekly.

Anytime you want to add functionality to a feature in Time Matters, such as an individual option for the Today button, you can submit your idea to

1. If you do not want to use the Reference Calendar and its Today button, you can press Ctrl+Home on any Calendar view to go to today. You cannot move the Today button.

2. Yes. For example, to make the 7-Day view the default:

  • Right-click the Calendar and select Display Options.
  • Click on the General tab.
  • For Tab 1, enter 7
  • Adjust the numbers for the other tabs to your liking
