I'm assuming that typing in the first couple of letters in a list is a "quick sort". In our last TM version quick sort worked just fine. In 10 when I type in the first few letters I don't get anything close a lot of the time. If I double click on the top header for that column to alpha sort and then type in the first few letters I always get what I want. I have no clue.
Does anybody else have any suggestions?

Sounds like when you open the list it is coming up sorted by a field other than the one you want to search. Try checking the settings for the quicktab.
