Joseph B. Nierenberg has practiced labor and employment law in Minnesota for more than twenty-five years. Early in his career, he represented public and private labor organizations, individuals, and multiemployer pension and welfare funds. Since 1988, Mr. Nierenberg has represented business and governmental clients in the litigation and non-litigation management of labor relations and employment issues. His clients include organizations in a number of areas, including governmental subdivisions and agencies; entertainment; personnel staffing; long term care; real estate development; and manufacturing. They range from local startups to regional and nationwide organizations.
Mr. Nierenberg has developed particular expertise in the emerging area of nontraditional staffing arrangements, in addition to a regular practice involving supervisor training, the development of policies and procedures, issues relating to organized labor, and litigation before trial and appellate courts, federal and state agencies, and arbitrators.
Mr. Nierenberg has given presentations on a broad range of employment topics to lawyers, trade associations, and interested industry groups.
