Thanks again, Seth! As it turned out, the solution to the problem evolved here, with Bart Earle's suggestions: http://forum.hotdocs.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12017 Thanks!

This may be a dumb question, but if you use a REPEATing dialog to populate a Multiple Choice variable's options (and the "Select All That Apply" property is set), is there a way to force EACH of those options to have the "Automatically select this option if variable is unanswered when displayed" property checked also on the Options
.... repeat on TYPE of ADOPTION. - In this case, you specify the Type of Adoption and then enter the names of the children to which this adoption applies....
THAT'S the kind of thing I just hadn't thought of. Something like that will be the ultimate solution. For now, I've rigged up a test that

Here's a question I probably won’t even understand the answer to, dealing with REPEATed variables, but here goes: I have several sets of REPEATing variables (at least I think that's what they are). As to one set, I want HD to compare and contrast answers to them, and change the output text depending on the variables’ content. Specifics will

Any help from Mr. Anderson is always worth its weight in gold. However, it looks like the whole problem was just me tricking myself. When my list "returned" tonight (before I had even tried the above suggestions, except for my regular re-indexing), I discovered (or re-discovered) that when you open a ZIP field (F2 or click the button), TM

It seems like my zip code table is wiped clean every so often. Does anyone know what can cause this? Can Iextract a single file from a backup to restore it? Thanks!
It sounds like you have data issues when we read this post in addition to some of your previous posts. I would suggest doing maintenance on a regular basis.
Thanks, Matt. And speaking of previous posts, I recall some of yours (like this one: http://pmforums.lexisnexis.com/forums/thread/13818.aspx , where the
