Darlene, If you could have a system administrator open Time Matters on your computer using the option Run as Administrator, the links could then be activated. You would not necessarily have to have administrative rights to run Time Matters after that and have the links work. As far as the Shared File Directory goes, each Time Matters user needs Read

Ken, This error is so general in nature that we can't troubleshoot it without connecting to your system, reproducing the error, and looking at logs or real-time monitoring. LexisNexis Technical Support excels at diagnosing this sort of issue. The fact that it is intermittent makes it more difficult to track down. There are, of course, the brute

Kent, I have not seen this issue and I have worked on a large number of servers running MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008. How big is your SQL database? Include the sizes of the TimeMatters11.MDF and TimeMatters11.LDF files. Are you creating tons of transactions and not running backups that truncate the log file? How big is your SQL database? Time Matters does not have the capability of moving the cursor to another field when you open a Form. There is a neat trick, though, for dealing with your problem. In User Security, you can create a Special Exception. You might want to add the exception just to those users with wheel mice :) Main Menu | Setup | Users and Security | User Open a User

Also know as, User Defined Forms, they are more powerful and support Formattable Clipboards. You add them in Main Menu | File | Setup | General | Program Level | Lists | User Defined. Then you

Yes. In MS Word, you can use If...Then...Else from the Rules button on the Mailings tab. Here is an example: DEPOSIT FOR FEES. Client will pay an initial deposit of $ { FILLIN "RETAINER AMOUNT" \d 2500 \* MERGEFORMAT } to be applied against attorney fees incurred by the client. { IF { MERGEFIELD CON_NonRefDeposit } > 0 "Of this amount

Jeff, after making a good backup of the database, you can go ahead and delete the orphaned attachments as long as you are familiar with doing so using SQL Server Management Studio. You cannot work with orphaned attachments from within Time Matters. Mark Deal developed a utility, TMTools, that automates the process of working with attachments. You can

Mobile phone synchronization is a rare exception in the tech world: It has become more problematic and less powerful over time. Palm synchronization was a high watermark. It is a true shame that Palm failed to capitalize on their old, dominant market position. Today, the market is split into lots of incompatible pieces. For example, Microsoft does not
