  • Re: Billing tab on matter not filtering records properly

Doing as you suggested rectified the issue--thank you. Robin, thank you for your suggestion as well (that worked, but was only a temporary solution). Deepa's suggested setting change seems to be a more permanent one.

  • Re: Billing tab on matter not filtering records properly

No change was made to the records. The billing items appear to be fully intact, with the right matter reference. Note that this problem is not occurring on the main billing item list. It happens when the matter is opened and you click on the billing tab in the matter. When the billing tab is first clicked, the right billing records appear. Then "Loading

  • Billing tab on matter not filtering records properly

Time Matters Enterprise 9, SR3: Today, when I open certain matters and click on the billing tab, all of the billing records for all matters show up. It seems to only impact matters where I've added billing records to a matter in the past couple of days (matters with older records are not affected). Tried database maintenance to no effect. Any ideas

  • Re: "Write Back" Improved for 2008?

I don't know, but I seriously doubt HotDocs could add a record. You could do a quick test to see if it fills a previously empty field.

The Database Connection can now write back to a field that was empty when the assembly session started. However, it cannot add new records to a database.

  • Re: Repeating vs. Multiple Choice Variables

There is no simple way to link multiple fields in Time Matters to a single multiple choice variable in HotDocs. It could be done with some scripting in HotDocs, but for your purposes, I don't think it would be worth it. Your best bet is probably to use IF..END IF logic to test on the key values you're looking for. One thing you probably need

  • Re: Repeating vs. Multiple Choice Variables

Multiple choice variables and repeating variables are almost entirely different things and serve different purposes, although there is a slight overlap between select any multiple choice variables (both can store multiple values in a single variable). That's where the similarity ends, however. You might want to describe precisely what you're

  • Re: TempNum Variable

Yes. Added in 2006. Worth upgrading (to 2008 now) if you're involved in HotDocs template development.

  • Re: TempNum Variable

One way to find out if a variable is used in a template is to use the Template Manager. Sounds like these templates use a share component file they all point to, so you need to expand the tree in the left pane of Template Manager to make sure the variable is used in the template vs. the component file they all share. Then, if you click on the variable

  • Re: Can Field "names" contain Variables?

As regards using custom forms, I would think that you would want to use a Contact form instead, perhaps with special classification code for children, but I'd defer to the Time Matters experts on the best way to do this. If you use any solution where each child is on a separate form, things may start to get a little complicated when it comes to
