Thanks, Caren. The bill code was disconnected from the UTBMS code when I edited the lookup file, so that didn't make a difference. However, your second suggestion to put an X in front of the code IS a great workaround. Thank you! Sincerely, Sandy J. UTMBS codes have recently been revised; one change is the deletion of billing code L190. We want to delete L190 from the List of Billing Codes [File>Setup>Codes>Billing Codes], however, we are unable to do so because "this billing code is still in use." I ran a search on billing items to find those that with the L190 code. We are

Thanks, Jeff. Your response is helpful, and this is indeed what occurred in my current situation. I do understand that an overpayment won't show up on the P&L as Fee (or Expense) Income until the overpayment is applied to a specific invoice because only at that time will the program know how to apply the payment. Where I'm still confused

I am seeking clarification on how the fee income is reported in two reports: (1) the Income Statement and (2) the Receipt Allocation Report. Here is my current situation (with fictional numbers for illustrative purposes): - When I run the Income Statement for January 2008, I get a Fee Income result of $10,000. - When I run the Receipt Allocation Report

We would like to use the "Caption" fieldon the Matter Form to record the Case Number, Style and Court for each of our cases. However, the field only holds about 2 and a half lines of text, which is not enough for our purposes. (We already use the memo field for other purposes.) Our end goal is to use the data in the "Caption" field

We are having trouble determining how partial payments are allocated to staff (for fees) in the Receipt Allocation Report. We are interested purely in receipt allocations (not percentages for originating staff, finders fees, etc.) On the Program Level, the receipt allocation method is set to Fees = Staff, and Expenses = Bill Code. On each Matter, we

We entered an Accounts Payable item using the wrong date (07/17/200 8 instead of 07/17/200 7) . This AP item has already been paid. Is there a way to fix this error? All suggestions would be appreciated. Sincerely, Sandy Eaves Administrator Calvert Eaves Clarke & Stelly, LLP TMBM+ 7.0

Some of our clients specify a quarterly billing frequency with a dollar limit exception. For example, Client XYZ requires invoices to be submitted quarterly OR when the balance on a matter reaches $10,000. I'm aware of several ways to check unbilled balances [(1) manually open each matter and check unbilled balance; (2) Run an Aged WIP report by

We would like invoice numbers to show up on Statements of past-due accounts. The bill profile includes the invoice number field. I don't know how to determine which (if any?) bill layout is associated with the bill profile for Statements, but we have four bill layouts and the invoice number field is selected on each one. Still no invoice number

We have one useer (out of 10) whose TM seems to be getting hung up on "moving records to following" during initialization. Any ideas on what could be causing this problem for only 1 of 10 users? Thanks, Sandy Eaves TM/BM+ 7.0 Beaumont, TX
