  • Re: TM save prompt not functioning in outlook

I'm not sure if you are saying the issue is that the TM Connect button does not show up in Outlook, the TM Connect button is there and not working or if you are not getting prompts to save your emails to Time Matters. One thing you can try first to see if it solves your problem is: Close out of all programs except Time Matters In Time Matters click

  • Re: 2 Matter records are associated to every Contact record including new contacts

Jennifer, The only time I have had that happen is when there was a corrupted record. Try two things to resolve it, first try to update the matters in question making sure the Matter Ref, Matter Number and Client are all re-filled in. Second, delete the matters in question and re-create them if needed. Have you tried doing a full database maintenance

  • Re: Switching from Outlook synch to Exchange synch

Kurt, When switching clients from any other sync method to Exchange Sync, I typically archive all of their contacts and calendars to a PST file and start from scratch, letting Exchange Sync do it's job in getting the data in there. It's one of those situations where you can save a lot of time if you do it this way rather than find out that there

  • Telephone Integration

Has anyone tried to tie TM into a Cisco UC520 phone system or something similar? I have a client that needs the DDE solution so they can get screen pops, but their telephone provider has nothing to offer to them. I can get TAPI to work for outbound, but inbound is another story. Any input is greatly appreciated!

  • Re: Where do deleted attachments go?

Lee, To understand correctly, you deleted an attachment but not the email itself? The attachments are stored in a table called 'attach', this is not a recycled table - meaning if you delete the attachment then it's purged from the database immediately. Typically, you'll find many consultants do not recommend saving attachments to TM

  • Re: Date in range filter on user defined date field - problem.

Wilson, That being the case I can confirm that date range reporting works correctly in my experience. Could this be an issue where your computer date settings might be different?

  • Re: TimeMatters 9 Exchange Sync; Palm Sync

Harold, Since you mention conduits, I'm assuming you are using the Palm OS on your device and not the Windows OS. It's possible that your conduits are fine but you need to reconfigure your desktop manager to sync to the correct database. If you were set up for Time Matters sync, then your conduits are configured for Time Matters and will stick

  • Re: View documents - document file no longer exists

Joanne, To add to the other great suggestions here, I would add two additional things to look for. 1. Some of Time Matters functions, particularly the indexer, does not like spaces in the path of the document and can error out. If you are able to open the document through TM but not view it, this may be the issue since the viewer is like the indexer

  • Re: Date in range filter on user defined date field - problem.

Wilson, Have you verified that your program settings are set to the correct date format? FILE - SETUP - GENERAL - PROGRAM LEVEL - Regional. The default in this configuration is dd/mm/yyyy, that may be causing your issues.

  • Re: Inserting Staff Name, Initials, and Bar Number?

Like Deepa, I typically have clients use contact records for employees, and I generally set up a field for any attorney records (including employees) that includes the attorney reg number, this way I can merge it into documents. Often times I will also incorporate "signature" items in an employee contact form, such as who the default CC is
