  • reprinting bill with a pdf of 11 x 8.5 instead of 8.5 x 11

When we reprint our bills, a significant number of them come out 11 x 8.5 instead of 8.5 x 11. This seems to happen every few years. Is there a setting somewhere that causes this change?

  • sending E-Mail from TM and selecting a From address

When we are sending an email from TM10E, we see that there is an option to show the "FROM" field, but the only option available is MAPI. We use Outlook 2003 as our MAPI client and have an exchange server. Most of our users have the authority in Outlook to send E-Mail's on behalf of a second or even third users. Is there a way that when

  • Showing Total Adjustments on Bill

Is there a way to show the total adjustments made on a bill? We are offering discounts to certain clients and want to show them how much they saved. Something like "YOU SAVED XXXX" at the bottom of the bill.

How soon after you enter a contact should the contact appear in a global search? We are experiencing significant delays. Thank you.

  • Re: Labels from Bill Profiles - How do you change font

Thanks. I tried that and it didn't help. I was working with a bill format that had most items specifically tailored to one font or another, so the default change was not effecting anything. After many hours I have discovered that the solutions is under the Miscellaneous section of bill format where "details" controls the placement and

  • Labels from Bill Profiles - How do you change font

Now that my bill layouts are just perfect, I realize that the labels form the Bill Profile, such as Fee Subtotal and Adjustments to Fees, and "Total New Charges", etc. are all in the wrong font and wrong size. Can they be changed?

  • Modified contingency fee billing

I am looking at a new matter where the client will be billed at one rate, $350 per hour, while the case is proceeding, but will be expected to pay only $200 per hour of that until the case is done. The only solution we have is to print the bills showing the full charge and then manually calculate the amount currently due, and keep track of it separately

  • Re: Global Search After Upgrade from TM8E to TM9E(3A)

Not Quite. TM9 does not allow you to use the keyword fields on the advanced screen the way you could in TM8. You are required to put a search term on the screen where you enter text or you get a blank result no matter what terms you put on the advanced "keyword" fields. I first called tech support to report that as an error but they informed

  • Re: Global Search After Upgrade from TM8E to TM9E(3A)

It appears to be not possible to to do the search exactly as before. We have a large database with 60000 contacts and 20000 matters. In TM8E, we went through every record type and every field for each type, marking all of the ones we wanted as keyword indexed. We then did a global search, all record types, advanced, keyword only search. The example

  • Global Search After Upgrade from TM8E to TM9E(3A)

We are having trouble with our conflict searches after the upgrade. My example is Kevin Smith calls in to sue Chris Huntley, Sara Shepard, and Diane Jones. In TM8E I would do a global search, keyword only, for Smith, Huntley, Shepard, or Jones. Total search time on my network and with my database - 39 seconds. In TM9E I do a global search and in the
