S. Andrew Jurs received his B.A. for both Economics and History in 1991 from Duke University, and his J.D. in 1994 from the Emory University School of Law. For the two years after graduation from law school, Mr. Jurs had the honor of clerking for United States District Court Judge James G. Carr of the Northern District of Ohio. Since 1996, Mr. Jurs has gained substantial experience in bankruptcy, workouts, and creditors' rights, and has become a Board Certified Specialist in Consumer and Business Bankruptcy Law. Author of numerous short pieces on bankruptcy law in various publications, including the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal and the Banking Law Journal, Mr. Jurs also has lectured widely on bankruptcy issues. He resides in Gastonia, North Carolina.
