His background includes roles within the UK tax authorities; as an in-house indirect taxes expert with HSBC, Foster’s Brewing Group, Scottish & Newcastle plc and Rothmans Tobacco Company; and in public consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Nairobi, Dublin and New York. In his current role as Chief International Indirect Tax Officer with tax software company Vertex Inc, Chris works with professional and trade associations, governments and the media to promote a deeper understanding of current and future technologies in the tax arena.

Chris is based in Berwyn, Pennsylvania and is an experienced media commentator, author, speaker and trainer on VAT and indirect taxes from both policy and operational perspectives.
