Additionally, she assists clients with legislative and other governmental relations matters.
After graduating from college and prior to attending law school, Ms. Horn spent four years with a national accounting firm working in the audit practice. She earned her CPA license in October 1985.
Erica was appointed by Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear to the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority and the Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation (present - July 15, 2013). She has a new found interest in community gardening and has organized and developed The Croft: A Community Garden at Beaumont Presbyterian Church in Lexington, KY. Also, Erica is Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Beaumont Learning Center. Other community activities have included Treasurer, Kentucky Women's Leadership Network, and Member, Advisory Board of Hospice of the Bluegrass.
Erica's passion is service to others, which she accomplishes primarily through her church. She has been a driving force in the church's opening of a community garden and in the foundation and organization of a preschool, which offers scholarships to children to whom such a program would otherwise be unavailable. Also, she enjoys reading (especially Biblical studies) and, yes, watching TV.
