Felton E. Parrish is counsel in the Charlotte, North Carolina, office of
K&L Gates LLP. He focuses his practice on the representation of
creditors in complex chapter 11 bankruptcies and out-of-court workouts and
restructurings. In addition, he has extensive experience representing
parties in insolvency-related commercial litigation. As part of his
bankruptcy practice, he has represented both purchasers and sellers of
businesses pursuant to section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code and frequently represents
financial institutions in connection with debtor-in-possession financings and
related bankruptcy issues. Mr. Parrish is a member of the American
Bankruptcy Institute and has authored several articles for the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal.
He has been a speaker at CLE programs in Georgia and North Carolina and is a
former member of the advisory board for the Emory
Bankruptcy Developments Journal. Mr. Parrish is a graduate of Wake
Forest University (B.A., magna cum laude,
1995) and the University of North Carolina (J.D., with honors, 1998), where he was a member of the North Carolina Law Review.
