Marvin Petry is a Member in the law firm of Stites & Harbison, PLLC in Alexandria, Virginia. Mr. Petry previously was a partner in the law firm of Larson & Taylor, an intellectual property firm which merged with Stites & Harbison in 1994.  He has also served as a Patent Examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His experience lies primarily in litigation, licensing and counseling of patent and trademark matters, as well as in patent and trademark prosecution before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Petry is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia Bars, and has served on the Board of Directors of the American Intellectual Property Section of the Virginia Bar.  He is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law School and author of Taxation of Intellectual Property, published by Matthew Bender.
