Shahzad A. Malik is a shareholder and chair of the tax practice at
Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, one of southern California's leading
transactional law firms. Mr. Malik's practice focuses on transactional tax
matters with a special focus on the private equity industry. He has extensive
experience in the planning and negotiation of mergers, acquisitions,
divestitures, joint ventures, complex financings and initial public offerings,
as well as international taxation, real estate and REIT transactions. Mr. Malik
was previously a partner at a major international law firm for many years. Mr.
Malik also represents clients in complex tax controversy matters, including
matters relating to offshore bank accounts, foreign bank account reporting
requirements and similar matters.
