CINCINNATI - A Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on Jan. 17 found that a federal judge in Michigan did not err in dismissing a woman's claim under Michigan Compiled Laws Section 600.3205b(1) because she did not follow the statute's requirement to contact a loan counselor before seeking a loan modification (Mildred Bowden v. American Home Mortgage Servicing LLC, et al., No. 12-1371, 6th Cir.; 2013 U.S. App. LEXIS 1371).Full story on lexis.com
