6th Circuit Upholds Dismissal Of Woman's Loan Modification Lawsuit

CINCINNATI - A Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on Jan. 17 found that a federal judge in Michigan did not err in dismissing a woman's claim under Michigan Compiled Laws Section 600.3205b(1) because she did not follow the statute's requirement to contact a loan counselor before seeking a loan modification (Mildred Bowden v.
